Washington: Aircraft engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp., signed a contract Monday to deliver engines for Kingfisher Airlines' Airbus A330 aircraft.
The contract provides for 10 PW4000-100 engines to be installed, one spare and an option for 10 more engines, the company said. Pratt & Whitney was also awarded a long-term fleet management contract to maintain Kingfisher's PW4000 engines, the company said. Kingfisher is one of India's fastest-growing airlines.
The contract is valued at $300 million, plus $200 million more if all contract options are exercised.
