Fog disrupts flights for 2nd day

As Flight schedules were thrown out of gear yet again on Wednesday with the second day of the winter fog in Delhi, the passengers at Mumbai airport felt the chill as well.
Flights to and from Delhi were running minimum two hours behind schedule, with some delayed up to four hours.
The runway at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi was closed for over an hour between 6.05 am and 7:20 am on Wednesday, which resulted in over 60 flights being rescheduled, along with handful cancellations. The impact of fog was felt at airports across the country, thanks to consequential delays.
Meanwhile, most domestic airlines, including Indian, Alliance Air, Jet Airways, Air Sahara, Air Deccan, Kingfisher Airlines, SpiceJet and IndiGo, have cancelled flights to and from Kolkata, keeping in mind the strike by the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) led by National Platform of Mass Organisations.
