GMR sends staff to visit foreign airports

Employees at Delhi and Mumbai airports were resentful when the airports were taken over by private companies.
So in order to motivate them, GMR, the company that now runs Delhi airport, is sending them abroad.
The staff is now visiting some super efficient international airports like Frankfurt and Singapore's Changi to watch and learn.
"Unless you see it yourself you don't know where you stand," said PP Singh, GM, Delhi Airport.
For private companies managing Delhi and Mumbai airports, upgrading airport facilities and maintenance is a top priority.
So, now by sending people abroad, they are not just trying to introduce new standards but also win over the hearts of the employees.
