Korean plane lands after passenger falls sick

Kolkata: A Korean airliner on way from Mumbai to Seoul diverted from its course and landed at Netaji Subhas Bose international airport here when one of its passengers felt uneasy this morning.
Airport sources said the aircraft was extended all facilities to land immediately after its pilot sought permission for emergency landing when 49-year-old Lee Suk Gil, who was suffering from hypertension, felt uneasy.
He was given medical assistance at the airport and then sent to Apollo hospital in the city for further treatment, the sources said.
The aircraft halted for about five hours before it took off shortly after noon for its destination without Lee.
