New Delhi: After parking itself at petrol pumps, the quick-service restaurant chain McDonald’s is looking at opening outlets at railway stations and airports.
The company is in advanced stages of finalising a tie-up with the Indian Railways for the northern belt covering Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi . It has signed an agreement with the Airports Authority of India to open its outlets at the domestic airport in New Delhi.
McDonald’s will launch several new formats for this expansion, including a limited menu and also smaller sized outlets called McDonald’s Express.
