Finnair’s to add to its India services

In response to strong demand, Finnair will be adding to its China and India services in the coming months.
From May, flights to Delhi will increase from three times a week to daily. Finnair will also launch a new non-stop Helsinki – Mumbai route flying five days a week in June.
In China, Finnair will be increasing its non-stop Hong Kong service from four times a week to daily. A fourth weekly flight to Guangzhou will also be added to the Chinese network.
However, as a result of the increase in Indian and Chinese traffic, Finnair will no longer be operating onward flights from Bangkok to Singapore. Rather, flights previously planned for Kuala Lumpur and Singapore will be served in conjunction with partner airlines.
Overall, Finnair’s traffic in Asia will grow by over 30 per cent in 2007, which is significant given that nearly 40 percent of Finnair’s scheduled traffic sales come from flights between Europe and Asia.
