Medical Device from India Causes Bomb Scare At O'Hare

Chicago: A medical device shipped from India began making strange noises, prompting a visit from the police Bomb & Arson Section on Thursday morning at O?Hare International Airport.
Police were notified about 7:55 a.m. Thursday of a suspicious package at the International Terminal at O'Hare, and the Bomb & Arson Section was notified, according to News Affairs Officer Marcel Bright.
The package, which turned out to be some sort of medical pulmonary or breathing machine, was shipped from India and arrived at O?Hare Wednesday night, according to Bomb & Arson Section Sgt. Roger Elmer, who said the package was awaiting pickup.
