New Delhi: Travel2Agent.com and SpiceJet have tied up to distribute inventory to travel agencies throughout India. The agreement was signed recently in New Delhi and is valid for selling inventory only in India.
According to Gagan Chadha, technical director, Travel2Agent.com talks are on with all major airlines and they hoped to sign most of them before the end of the year. Travel2Agent.com launched its distribution system Global Business Suite (GBS) to cater to distribution needs of both scheduled as well as no frill airlines in May last year. The airline GBS is the second product out of the Travel2Agent.com stable after its popular hotel GBS. "Airline GBS is a natural progression to Travel2Agent's hotel GBS in our endeavor to completely integrate all aspects of the travel industry resource wise and financially," stated Chadha.
Explaining the features of airline GBS Chadha said, "Non authorised agents will be able to apply for airline authorisation of legacy carriers only through this initiative. The airline GBS has the 'Dynamic Fare Calculation' (DFC) system, which picks up the fares automatically without the need of entering the fare code."
