Air Deccan all set for DGCA probe

New Delhi: Two days after CNN-IBN found that India's largest low cost airline, Air Deccan has been overbooking passengers who were later offloaded on the pretext of checking in late, the DGCA has stepped in to investigate accusations of over booking.
The airline has on its part, welcomed the DGCA probe into the overbooking allegation.
In a press release, the airline has said that the recent reports were baseless and that Air Deccan was not involved in any overbooking scam.
Air Deccan's Chief Operating Officer Warwick Brady said, "We are glad that DGCA will be conducting an investigation into the matter. This is the only way in which we can prove ourselves right and emerge truthful."
CNN-IBN had showed how the airline was resorting to a petty strategy of bending rules to make a fast buck leaving passengers stranded at the airports.
