Colombo: Mihin Air, Sri Lanka's fully government-owned airline, will begin flights by the end of March. The flight schedule is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
Mihin Air's first 161-seater Airbus A320 arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake yesterday. The airline was officially launched earlier this month with its first flight to Thiruvananthapuram in South India.
Mihin Air has already obtained necessary licenses for international flight operations and will initially operate flights to regional destinations such as India and the Middle East at a concessionary rate, especially for the benefit of Sri Lankan migrant workers.
