Udyog Rattan Award conferred on Thiagarajan

The Institute of Economic Studies, New Delhi, one of the country's premier research institutes, has conferred the ‘Udyog Rattan Award’ on Mr. Thiagarajan, Managing Director, Paramount Airways and the Award for Excellence to ‘Paramount Airways’. The award was presented by Dr. Bhishma Narain Singh, Hon'ble Former Governor of Tamil Nadu & Assam in recognition of Mr. Thiagarajan’s excellence in productivity, quality, innovation and management in the aviation sector. Mr. Thiagarajan is the youngest MD in the airline industry. The airline is the only one in the country to offer an all business class service at the economy class fare of other airlines.
The award was presented at Indian Habitat Centre, Delhi.
Over the years the institute has been patronized and inspired by the likes of Pranab Kumar Mukerjee, Khursheed Alam Khan, N D Tiwari, A K Panja, V N Gadgil, Madhavsing Solanki, Giani Zail Singh, Shankar Dayal Sharma, Kumudben Joshi, M Arunachalam, P Shiv Shankar, Ram Vilas Paswan, Ram Rao Adik, M Hidayatullah and Rabi Ray.
