Women travellers to get priority boarding pass

Thiruvananthapuram: Air Deccan will provide `priority boarding' for women travellers flying with the airline on Thursday to coincide with International Women's Day.
To make the day special for its women travellers, the airline would issue priority boarding passes at the check-in counter in all the airports from where it operates. Women passengers would be able to board the aircraft before their male counterparts, a release from the airline said.
Priority boarding is a feature introduced by Air Deccan to ensure that all elderly passengers, people who need special assistance, women travelling with infants and children, along with the first 30 passengers to check in on an Airbus flight and the first 15 passengers to check in on an ATR flight, have the privilege of boarding before other passengers.
