Air Arabia launches low-fare flight to Ahmedabad

Muscat: The Sharjah-based Air Arabia airline yesterday commenced its services to the Indian city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat.
The inaugural flight took off from Sharjah at 1.30pm to land in Ahmedabad at 5:55pm and left Ahmedabad at 6:40pm to arrive in Sharjah at 7.55pm.
Ahmedabad-bound travellers from Muscat left for Sharjah at 10:35am from where they were to continue onward journey to Ahmedabad.
One-way fares to Ahmedabad and Mumbai from Muscat will start at RO32 exclusive of taxes and surcharges and similar fares are available on return trips.
Edwin Pereira, assistant manager for Oman, said that the airline would operate daily flights to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad from Sharjah at 11:55pm to arrive in Ahmedabad at 4am and then depart from Ahmedabad at 4.55am to arrive in Sharjah at 6am.
For passengers from Muscat, there will be flight at 10:35am to Sharjah five days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday). The airline will also operate an evening flight at 7.35pm five days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday).
