New Delhi: Air Deccan, one of India's leading private airlines, won an excellence award Monday for the best low fare airline of 2006 by the Air Passenger Association of India (APAI).
'Air connectivity is the key to harness the vast potential that the tourism and hospitality industry has in India,' G.R. Gopinath, managing director of Air Deccan, said in a statement.
Air Deccan, which commands a market share of 21.6 percent, has the largest network in India, currently covering 64 airports and plying over 350 flights a day.
