'Dupatta' is the inspiration for new identity design of Jet

Mumbai: As part of its comprehensive plans to prepare for the airline's major thrust into International markets, the corporate identity and brand mark of Jet Airways has been refreshed to include a swirl of colour reminiscent of a typical Indian dupatta.
"We are repositioning Jet Airways as a global airline with the highest International standards but with a 'touch of India," said Gaurang Shetty, VP Marketing.
Jet Airways worked closely with Landor and Associates of London, to develop a look and feel for the airline that was consistent with the brand values of India's leading airline, but also distinctive enough to resonate with customers in International markets.
Shetty described the makeover as evolutionary, not revolutionary. "We have retained many of the familiar elements of our corporate identity, and colours, but have contemporised them to make the brand more relevant to global markets" .
