Five Air Deccan passengers miss flight

Kolkata: Five air passengers on their way from Kolkata to Aizawl by Air Deccan’s flight, DN-565 were not allowed to board the flight by airlines officials even after they were given boarding passes at NSC Bose Airport today.
The flight originally scheduled to leave at 9.45 a.m. was delayed. It was rescheduled for 1 p.m.
The five passengers, including a businessman, came to the airport in the morning and were given boarding passes at about 11 a.m. Their luggage were reportedly lifted in the aircraft. Later, as they were proceeding to board the plane, airlines staff told them they could not board the flight as they came late.
When passengers argued if they were late why had they been issued boarding passes, the airlines staff, however, could not give any satisfactory reply. They only said that the luggage would be returned. Their luggage were returned and the flight left for its destination without the five passengers. Airline officials were unavailable for comments.
