Mangalore: Passengers travelling through Bajpe airport of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) have got an additional facility with a Mumbai-based company opening two foreign currency exchange counters at the airport on Sunday.
Manorama Madhwaraj, MP, inaugurated the counters set up by Centrum Direct Ltd. at the arrival and the departure halls of the airport.
Managing director of the company Gopal Sharma said that all major tradable foreign currencies could be exchanged at the counters.
Many passengers from north Kerala and the coastal belt of the State use Bajpe airport to fly to West Asia directly and other countries through Mumbai airport.
Mr. Sharma said that the company had counters in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. It was planning to open counters in Bahrain soon, he said.
