India's Ramco to expand UAE presence

Dubai: Indian software firm Ramco Systems is expanding its presence in the UAE as it prepares to launch a new business optimisation software suite.
The firm is opening an office in Dubai Internet City in May to complement its existing facility in Oud Metha, according to the company's regional vice president, R. Shankar, based in Chennai.
Ramco Systems, a subsidiary of BSE-listed Ramco Group, is unveiling its "Business Process Delivery System" software to go head-to-head with products from SAP, Oracle and Microsoft.
Shankar said the product would target the aviation, construction, banking and financials, insurance, manufacturing and logistics sectors.
