Imphal: Apparently connected to accusations levelled by the Consumers’ Club, Manipur, yesterday travel agents of Air Deccan held a joint meeting at GVT Services, Airport Road this evening and among other resolutions decided to submit a memorandum to the management of Air Deccan pertaining to inconveniences caused by Air Deccan passengers of Manipur.
In a statement issued by the convenor of Air Deccan Authorised Agents of Imphal Ch Raichandra the meeting resolved to sort out at the earliest pending refund for ticket cancellation which are said to be in process with Refund Department of the flight service provider.
Besides deciding to reconvene a combined meeting of authorised Air Deccan ticketing agents of Manipur, the convenor informed that Air Deccan do not entertain cancellation of any tickets thereby suggesting that no refund is allowed if the passenger cancels his/her ticket.
Only rescheduling of tickets is allowed, the statement mentioned.
Highlighting that Air Deccan offers lowest fares in the country and provides a reliable service on point-to-point basis with emphasis on ‘extremely high seat occupancy’, it further informed to all concerned that tickets booked under the Frequent Flier Schemes will neither be re-instated nor will any monetary refund be given for cancellation.
