Singapore: Changi Airports International (CAI) has clinched a short-term contract to advise the Indian state of Maharashtra on developing its Nagpur Airport.
CAI, the consultancy arm of the airport, has been looking to spread its wings to India, after ventures into China, Russia and the Middle East.
The move seems to be part of a small start to their Indian courtship.
For now, it is just a three-month deal which could be extended for a further nine months.
CAI is hoping to strengthen this into a more long-term relationship when it bids for the operation of the Chennai and Kolkatta airports later this year.
