IA flight grounded in Kovai

Coimbatore: A Calicut-bound Indian Airlines flight was grounded today following a minor damage caused to one of its wings when a ladder hit it.
According to airport sources, the flight arrived from Delhi via Mumbai around 11 am and after the city passengers had alighted, the ladder hit a side of the wing when it was being removed.
As the wing got slightly damaged, the flight, as a safety measure, was grounded and the passengers bound for Calicut were sent by road, the sources said.
