Indian first flight to Surat to commence from May 6

Surat: The first flight of the Indian Airlines from New Delhi to Surat will land at Magdella airport here on May 6 with 35 passengers onboard.
The flight IC-417 would take off from Delhi at around 1030 hrs and land here at 1300 hrs.
The earlier date for commencing of the first flight was fixed as May 1, but was postponed to May 6 to complete the technical aspects of landing, airport sources said here today.
Similarly, on the return flight, IC-418 would depart at 1300 hrs with 53 passengers.
Meanwhile, sources said some private airline companies like Kingfisher and MDLR are also seriously considering operations from Surat after assessing the initial feedback of the first flight.
