New Hyderabad airport to have automated parking system

Hyderabad: The new Hyderabad International Airport coming up at Shamshabad will have an automated parking management system.
It will facilitate quick entry and exit from the parking points, reduce dwell time, streamline the entire traffic movement around the car parking area and build management information system to support future planning and development.
Automated service will also facilitate no queuing and no waiting due to the `touch and go' concept. While 3,500 car bays will be provided in front of the passenger terminal building, 153 two-wheeler bays, 125 car bays, 30 truck parking bays and dock parking bays will be provided in front of the cargo area.
Vehicles of VVIPs, taxis/cabs and shuttle buses will be allowed on the kerb side at departure and arrival levels. Valet parking, management of public transport system like auto-rickshaws, pre-paid taxis, fleet taxis, buses, Government and staff vehicles in the parking area will be available.
The parking will be managed by Tenaga Parking (India) Pvt Ltd, part of the Malaysia-based Tenaga Group, which presently handles parking facilities in prestigious projects across Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and India.
