New terminal will boost Bahrain - Kashmir direct flights

Direct flights to Kashmir from Bahrain could be available in future after a new international terminal opens in Srinagar later this year, it was revealed.
Kashmir Tourism Board director Farooq Shah told the GDN that talks were already underway regarding the feasibility of such a route.
Mr Shah was in Bahrain taking part in the Bahrain International Travel Expo (BITE 2007), which ended last week.
Flights from Dubai and Jeddah are likely to precede any service from Bahrain, he said.
He said the Kashmir Tourism Board has set itself the target of attracting 4,000 to 5,000 visitors from Bahrain this year.
BITE 2007, opened by Crown Prince and BDF Commander-in-Chief Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, was organised by Magnum Events and Exhibitions Management (MEEM).
