Gandhinagar: Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Praful Patel today said the Airports Authority of India (AAI) will put in extra efforts to upgrade capacity of the airports in Gujarat.
''We have already initiated the infrastructural building process for upgradation of airports in Gujarat, following which Ahmedabad airport is today ranked as the seventh largest airport in the country,'' he said.
''Under the infrastructural building process, we are also going to stretch the runway of Rajkot airport,'' he added.
