Bangalore: Low-cost airline Air Deccan on Wednesday reported a 32 per cent increase in the number of passengers it carried in May this year at 7,04,043 against 5,33,376 travellers in the same month last year.
The average load factor in May 2007 remained high at 85 per cent and also witnessed an increase over May 2006 where the loads averaged around 82 per cent, a company release said.
The number of daily flights also registered a 40 per cent increase at 350 against 250 daily flights a year-ago.
The airline connects 65 destinations as against 55 cities last May. Air Deccan has flown over 11 million passengers since its inception in 2003, it said.
