Dubai: Despite the strike by employees of Indian Airlines (IA) having been called off yesterday, the airline’s flights to and from the UAE remained affected yesterday.
An IA official based in Dubai stated that two IA flights to the UAE were cancelled while other flights were delayed.
“Two of our flights scheduled for Sharjah to Trivandrum and Dubai to New Delhi were cancelled yesterday. Rest of the services were restored with a nominal delay,” Indian Airlines Country Manager Anand Pande told Khaleej Times.
The flight operations, Pande said, would be completely normal by today as the airline is arranging all the logistics and staff to operate.
The state-run carrier, which is set to formally merge with another government-controlled airline, Air India, within this year, operates an average of 13 flights to and from international airports in Dubai and Sharjah.
