Uniformity between Inflight and Website Experience

Jet Airways has refurbished its website to make it in tune with the the customers experience while on board its flights. It has partnered with Akamai Technologies to accelerate content and business processes online.
Belson Coutinho, head (E-Commerce) of Jet Airways spoke to CXOtoday.com about the challenges that Jet faced before deciding to revamp its site. He said, "Jet has been offering customers with the facility of interaction through website since a long time. With the critical mass of consumers planning travel and purchasing tickets online, it became important for us to be involved in online distribution and retail."
"The business drivers for this partnership were to provide a superior online end-user experience, improve look-to-book and conversion ratios online, handle peak travel demand with no incremental website costs, and ensure 100% uptime of online reservation systems," said Coutinho.
With the look and feel of the website remaining the same, the changes will be visible in the areas of performance, availability, scalability, reliability, and security.
The premier airline company will access Akamai's platform and leverage its services in online travel through the solution Dynamic Site Accelerator solution.
