Air Deccan’s additional Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram flight yet to commence

Thiruvananthapuram: Air Deccan has not yet started the additional flight announced by it using the 72-seater ATR-72 aircraft on the Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai sector.
According to an official of the corporate communications wing at the airline’s headquarters in Bangalore, the lack of security clearance was causing the delay in commencing the additional flight in the evening on the sector.
However, a top official of the Airports Authority of India told The Hindu that the airline was yet to obtain the mandatory clearance by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to commence the additional flight.
