Air India to launch non-stop flight to NY

Seattle: On August 1 Air India will launch its first non-stop commercial flight between Mumbai and New York by using the brand new Boeing 777-200 LR.
But before that it is going to fly out of Boeing's Seattle plant and some us are lucky to board this flight. So as we board the flight we will try and give you the non-stop experience.
The state-of the art Boeing 777-200 LR or long range can fly upto 21 hours non-stop. Thankfully it is only a 15-hour flight from Seattle to New Delhi. But the most exciting part on this special flight is that it will go over the north pole.
As an excited crew serves a welcome drink to the 70-odd guests on board Captain Amitabh Singh and his team carry out the pre-flight checks. It is not that he is nervous but he does not want to take any chances.
"We are going to study this flight as we will shortly operating a non-stop flight," said Amitabh Singh, Commander, Boeing 777-200 LR.
Every seat in the flight is equipped with a personalised in-flight system that allows you to choose from a host of movies or music. If you are traveling first class, each of the eight first class cabins has seats that become full beds, have your own dining table and a 24-inch screen for in-flight entertainment.
