Airline and agent offer cheap fares for illegal workers

Abu Dhabi: Qatar Airways and a private travel agency are offering cheaper air tickets for Indian illegal workers taking advantage of the amnesty, Indian embassy officials have said.
The embassy had earlier requested airlines and travel agents to offer cheaper tickets following complaints from illegal workers about costly tickets, some of which start at Dh1,100 for a one-way ticket.
"Qatar Airways offered a five per cent discount from their regular ticket price to amnesty seekers. The one-way offer is available for three destinations - Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
A private travel agency, Asia Travel-Tourism and Cargo has offered a one-way ticket to Mumbai and Delhi for Dh600.
