Casual remarks on plane land 3 execs in trouble with cops

New Delhi: Three MNC executives on a Guwahati-bound flight on Saturday were detained here and interrogated by a joint team of Intelligence Bureau, Research and Analysis Wing and Delhi Police officials for engaging in casual conversation about hijackings inside the airplane.
The three colleagues, aged between 26 and 29, were waiting for the plane to take off from Delhi when they started talking about hijackings and kidnappings. An airhostess overheard the conversation and informed the pilot, who in turn told security agencies.
The three were taken off the flight and questioned for nearly eight hours before being let off.
A senior security official said: "The three passengers are Vineet (26), Amit (29) and Iboka (27), all MBAs working for an MNC in Delhi. Iboka hails from the Northeast and was taking the other two to a week’s vacation in the region. A verification of their antecedents revealed that none of them had any criminal record."
This incident took place on Jet Airways’ Delhi-Guwahati flight (9W 602). The plane’s scheduled departure time was 10.15 am.
