Jet Airways acquires 3 additional B777 & 13 ATR aircraft

Jet Airways India Ltd has announced that pursuant to The Purchase Agreement signed in June 2005 with The Boeing Company, USA, for ten (10) Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, the Company has now exercised an "Option" to acquire three (3) additional B777-300ER Aircraft scheduled to be delivered in May, October and November 2009.
The Company will be taking on Operating Lease, six (6) ATR72-500 aircraft from Aircraft International Renting (A.I.R.) Ltd, Ireland (AIR), for deliveries scheduled between November 2007 and November 2008 and the Company has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Avions de Transport Regional (ATR) for seven additional ATR72-500's for deliveries between December-2008 and July-2010.
