Bangalore: GoAir on Friday cancelled a flight bound for Kochi from the HAL Airport here, causing inconvenience to 120 passengers, most of whom were going home ahead of Onam.
The departure of the flight, which was originally scheduled to take off at 6 p.m., was first postponed to 7 p.m. and then to 8 p.m. and eventually cancelled at 8.45 p.m. The airline authorities cited technical reasons for the cancellation.
This angered the passengers and tension prevailed for about an hour at the airport. The airline authorities in an attempt to defuse the situation and avoid further embarrassment offered to arrange a luxury bus to Kochi instead and even offered to reimburse the fare.
