New Delhi: In what was a 'bad day' for the recently taken over Sahara Airlines, Delhi saw several of their flights delayed by up to two hours on Wednesday.
Three of Sahara's flights, now known as Jet Lites, developed technical snags due to which other flights were also affected. Air traffic control congestion over Delhi and rain in some sectors also added to the problem. Said Garry Kingshott, CEO of Jet Lites: "Wednesday was a specially bad day for us though things were much better by afternoon. We have been trying hard to improve services and have managed to bring up flights on time from 24% in April to about 56% now. However, once in a while we tend to face problems that pull us down."
Kingshott admitted that the fleet taken over by Jet Lite was in a bad shape and even though they were working on its maintenance, it would still take a while to bring things on track.
