David Morgan touched down at Bournemouth Airport, it was like coming home.
The 42-year-old grew up in the town and was first bitten by the flying bug after taking off in a Chipmunk aircraft while in his school's combined cadet force.
David - who now lives in Bundaberg, Queensland, with his wife and three children - and co-pilot James Williams were stopping off on a journey that started in the United States and is due to end in Australia on August 13.
The pair picked up their Hawker Beech B200 twin-engine turbo prop from the manufacturer in Wichita, Kansas, and are delivering it to their base in Brisbane.
So far their route has taken them to Quebec, Newfoundland and Iceland before crossing the Atlantic.
After their stopover in Bournemouth, they will be flying to southern Italy, then Luxor in Egypt, Muscat in the Arabian Gulf, Bangalore in India, Phuket in Thailand, Singapore then Darwin.
