Mumbai: Deccan Aviation Ltd, which owns budget carrier Air Deccan, reported a wider net loss for the quarter to June 2007, hit by lower air fares and higher fuel costs.
A statement late on Thursday said the company's loss widened to 1.7 billion rupees from 1.1 billion rupees a year ago.
For the year ended June, its net loss was 4.2 billion rupees on revenue of 21.4 billion rupees. It had reported a loss of 3.4 billion rupees on revenue of 12.4 billion rupees in the 15-month period ended June 2006.
The company reported a 15-month period as it changed its accounting year mid-way.
