Jet Airways will showcase its new Brussels hub

Indian Finance Minister P. Chidambaram will visit Brussels, Belgium on September 17 and, according to a statement from Jet Airways, he will be “flying to Brussels Airport with the premium Indian airline Jet Airways, in order to experience in person the operation and efficiency of its European hub in Brussels.”
The statement added that the event will be an ideal opportunity for Jet Airways, Brussels Airport and code share partner Brussels Airlines to showcase the ingenious operation, impact and dimensions of this quite unique aviation story. The event will be attended by Naresh Goyal, President Jet Airways; Vincent Van Quickenborne, Belgian Secretary of State responsible for the simplification of the administration; Wilfried Van Assche, CEO Brussels Airport; Philippe Vander Putten, CEO Brussels Airlines which is code share partner of Jet Airways.
Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 65 aircraft with four Boeing 777-300ERs aircraft, 50 Boeing 737-400/700/800/900 aircraft, four Airbus A330-200 aircraft, and seven modern ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft. With an average fleet age of 4.9 years, the airline has one of the youngest aircraft fleet in the world.
