Qatar Airways continues Indian expansion policy

Qatar Airways has further expanded into India with the launch of scheduled flights to Nagpur and Ahmedabad.
Both destinations allow the cargo operations to serve as transporter to a wide range of Indian industries. The Qatar-based company has targeted the automotive, chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors in Nagpur, and will be carrying textiles and woollen goods from Ahmedabad.
Having rapidly expanded its freighter network and number of worldwide destinations during 2007, Qatar Airlines Cargo believes the recent addition of a third Airbus A300-600F will allow for further expansion.
"Currently we are looking at operating a freighter to Thiruvananthapuram, but cannot confirm any dates at this stage," said Batten.
