Singapore Airlines furthers business in south India

Chennai: Aiming to strengthen its business in south India, Singapore Airlines on Wednesday announced a slew of measures that include additional flights, special discounts and a revamped menu.
"Three more services have been added to the existing seven, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Silk Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, will start services from Coimbatore to Singapore from October 28," said Bharat Mahadevan, regional manager of Singapore Airlines.
The Airline will now offer South Indian cuisine for its passengers on the Chennai-Singapore route and has also come up with a Rs 5,555 round trip scheme, bookings for which will start tomorrow.
