Aviation fuel leak plugged

Hyderabad: The discharge of aviation fuel from the drain into public areas near Begumpet airport has been completely stopped, and a special team of Indian Oil Corporation is continuing its efforts to identify the source of leakage, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has informed.
General Manager of Indian Oil (AP) M. Ramana in a release informed that barriers were put up at the spot to prevent the outflow of fuel-mixed-water into public areas. With fuel not being allowed to flow into the drain, officials were now in the process of identifying the exact source of leakage.
The process of identifying the source of leak would take some time since it had to be traced by the process of elimination.
The team assured the State Government that investigation would continue until the source of the leakage was located.
IOC and Bharat Petroleum, the two companies having aviation fuel stations inside the airport, have jointly launched this investigation to trace the source of leakage.
