Bollywood couple celebrate marriage in the air

Welwyn Hatfield's most extravagant wedding took place today 3,000 feet in the air - and the Review was invited to join in the celebrations.
Groom Alamin Khandakhar, of Indian pop act Chime, married his bride, singer Mun Mun Shafiqullah, in a Muslim ceremony aboard a vintage Douglas Dakota DC3, an aircraft used in Bollywood blockbuster Love Story.
More than 50 Wedding guests arrived at Bengal Paradise Restaurant in Brookmans Park this morning and a stretch limousine ferried part of the congregation to Cambridge Airport to board the private wedding jet.
The ceremony is estimated to have cost the couple £40,000.
Alamin, who has had three top ten albums in the Indian subcontinent, said: "...I have always dreamed of being a pilot, although I am a musician there's a pilot living inside my heart. I'm having my wedding on a plane because it's a combination of my life dream."
The Bollywood wedding also marked Eid ul Fitr, the end of the fasting season of Ramadan for Muslims, so feasting on good food was an important part of the day.
Bengal Paradise provided an in flight menu for the ceremony after the restaurant's 'delicious cuisine' was recommended to the pop sensation by the Bangladesh cricket team.
