New Delhi: A Jet Airways Brussels-Delhi Boeing flight was damaged when it suffered a bird hit while landing at the IGI airport here this morning.
All passengers of the Boeing 777 (9W-225) were safe and the damage was noted only after the plane touched down the airport, airport sources said.
The wing of the plane was damaged in the bird-hit while it was landing, the sources said.
This was the second incident of bird hit in the day as another plane of the private carrier with Australian cricket team and some Indian cricketers on board suffered the same problem 10 minutes after the take off from Nagpur airport and made a precautionary landing there.
