King of good times? Pilot grounded

New Delhi: A Kingfisher Airlines pilot has been grounded for three months after being caught drunk at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
Civil aviation ministry sources confirmed to DNA that the airline had initiated disciplinary action against the pilot who tested positive for alcohol on October 12.
According to ministry sources, the errant pilot underwent the mandatory breathalyser test twice and tested positive both times. “The first breathalyser test conducted at 5.49am showed 0.039% alcohol content,” said an official.
The second test done at 6.06am indicated an alcohol content of 0.035%. The pilot was then taken off flight duty.
An airline spokesperson in Mumbai confirmed the incident.
