Hyderabad: Four unidentified persons clad in military uniform attempted to enter the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Begumpet here, police said on Thursday.
The incident happened on Tuesday night.
In the wake of high alert sounded in the city on possible terror attack, the incident has baffled security personnel and CISF which mans the security of the airport.
However, the city police ruled out any terror threat associated with the incident.
The persons in military fatigues arrived at Indian Airlines gate at Rasoolpura side, the route usually used by airport employees, police said.
The strangers came in a four-wheeler and enquired about the route to the airport with a CISF jawan who was posted at the gate, Begumpet Inspector J Subbarami Reddy said.
They left the place when CISF jawan asked them to take another route to enter into the airport, he said, adding the vehicle which was used by them had Punjab registration number and number could not be noted due to darkness.
