Plane's tyre bursts while landing; passengers safe

Mumbai: At least 120 passengers on-board an Air India flight from Kozhikode to Mumbai had a miraculous escape after the plane suffered a tyre-burst when it landed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport today.
"Air-India flight number IC 596 coming to Mumbai from Kozhikode touched down at around 1130 hours and soon after, one of its tyres burst", a spokesperson for airlines said, adding "all the passengers have been safely deplaned".
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for Mumbai International Airport Ltd said the tyre burst as the aircraft was entering a taxiway.
