Japanese logistics company Yusen Air & Sea Service has recently put into operation an office in Chengdu, the capital city of the southwestern Chinese province of Sichuan, and another in Mumbai, western India.
The new Chinese office is Yusen Air & Sea Service's fourth location in the country. The company opened its first Chinese office in 2001 in Xian, followed by the Chongqing and Wuhan openings in 2006.
As for the Indian office, it is the company's third location in the country. Mumbai is known for its Nava Sheva port which handles about 60 percent of India's total container cargo.
Tokyo-based Yusen Air & Sea Service is a subsidiary of major Japanese shipping line Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK Line).
