Dubai: The largest airshow in the events history will be officially opened by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at the Airport Exhibition Centre today. The show will run until November 15.
The 10th Dubai Airshow has attracted 850 exhibitors from 50 countries with 11 national pavilions. Spanning more than 35,000 square metres and with over 140 aircraft on display, the Dubai Airshow has grown enormously over the past years.
After opening the event, Shaikh Mohammed will tour the show with a VIP contingent of local, regional and international dignitaries.
Shaikh Mohammed pledged continued government support for the show which is being staged for the last time at the Airport Expo Dubai. The next edition in 2009 will be held at the Dubai World Central in Jebel Ali.
The show has been organised by Fairs & Exhibitions in conjunction with the Department of Civil Aviation, Government of Dubai and in collaboration with the UAE Armed Forces.
