Kochi: The low-cost flight subsidiary of Air India (former Air India Express), will set up a control cell to monitor all flights from Kerala to minimise impact on schedule and to offer better service to its customers.
The decision follows flight delays, largely due to bad weather conditions over the United Arab Emirates, over the last couple of days resulting in acrimonious scenes at the Nedumbassery and Karipur airports as well as complaints of poor services for passengers stranded at the airports.
Kochi Air India Manager Jude Crasto told reporters at a press conference here on Sunday that corrective action would be taken on the complaints to improve the services offered to passengers at the airports. He said flights were delayed for several reasons including bad weather conditions.
