Chennai: A Kingfisher Airlines flight from Bangalore to Chennai with 54 passengers suffered a tyre burst while taxing after landing at the airport on Monday evening, but the pilot managed to bring it to a safe halt immediately.
The flight, which landed at 8 pm, was entering the "taxi track" on way to its parking bay when one of the rear wheel tyres burst, airport sources said.
The pilot, however, managed to bring the flight to a halt and arrangements were made to help the passengers, who included BJP's state unit President L Ganesan, alight safely, they said.
